I’m so excited for this show. I mean this is the first show we will be kicking off at “Love Gallery”. Which is my new spot. So the excitement of having my own gallery and starting a new business is almost overwhelming on its own. But the best part of this, is the amazing art that is going to be hanging on the walls from some of my favorite artists and friends. Really topping the chart though is having Brian’s stuff up. He is hands down one of the nicest and most humble men I know. So a lot of the beautiful pieces that he produces and sells in his hometown of Steamboat awe me but do not surprise me. Its the other work that catches you off guard. The pieces that seep out of his guts and his dreams maybe nightmares. They explore religion, politics, humanity and self. All of this seems to be deconstructed in Brian’s work. Maybe in search of a better understanding of this awkward state of being we call life. Or maybe its all just a release for him. Ill let you form your own opinion. Here is a small excerpt of past works from Brian and some works from his Denver debut at the gallery May 31st-June 1st.

To see these and more of Brians work Join us for the Opening on May 31st 6-9pm or June 1st 3-10pm  at “Love Gallery” Denver’s newest art gallery showing contemporary, Post pop, Pop pluralist, Low brow,  New Brow……. Why put a finger on it anyways, Art. Located at 570 Inca St Denver CO 80204.. Or for more info check us out at LoveGalleryDenver.com

Current artistic influences (Part 1)

Posted in Art, Design, My Works with tags , , , , , , , , on September 20, 2009 by cultivatedlove

Here is a list of items or people who currently are most influential on my work.

Boulder
As I am really starting to settle in here in Boulder, CO. I am becoming less vulnerable to the inset of culture shock. While Im sure Boulder is a far cry short of culture when compared to some of the major metropolises of the world. It is still significantly bigger than Steamboat Springs CO.

I’m sure there were many occasions not long after my arrival that I could be found in a state of disarray.  As my mind was being overstimulated by all that this town had to offer. Now that I am able to keep the drool from flowing. I plan on harnessing some of this. Continue reading
